My stay at Gran Melia Fenix was largely enjoyable. the location is fantastic, with easy access to major attractions and upscale shopping. However, my room was smaller than anticipated and the bathroom felt cramped. The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive, especially Carmen, whose kindness made a significant difference. Overall, a luxurious atmosphere but I had a few concerns about room size and noise levels.

I had a fantastic experience at Hotel Fenix Gran Melia during my brief stay. The staff were incredibly attentive and made me feel welcomed, which really enhanced my trip. The location was perfect for exploring Madrid, though it was a bit of a trek to some tourist spots. My only caveat was the absence of a coffee machine in the room, which would have been a nice touch for early mornings.

My stay at Hotel Fenix Gran Melia was a mix of highlights and disappointments. The location in the upscale Barrio de Salamanca was perfect for exploring the city, with many shops and attractions within walking distance. However, the service at check-in felt disorganized, impacting my expectations. On the positive side, the amenities were excellent, particularly the breakfast and the thoughtful touches from staff.

Rooms

I stayed in a Supreme Room that was spacious and beautifully decorated, though the lack of storage for large luggage was a minor inconvenience. The comfort of the bed ensured a good night's sleep, which I appreciated.
Service

While the staff at breakfast and in the bar were friendly and attentive, the initial reception was chaotic, leaving me feeling overlooked at first. However, once I engaged with the staff, they were genuinely warm and eager to help.

I had a lovely experience at Hotel Fenix Gran Melia during my honeymoon in Madrid. The classical decor added to the charm, and the staff's warm gestures, like welcome champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries, made my stay special. The location in the Salamanca district feels exclusive and is a nice break from the heavy tourist areas, though I did encounter some minor issues with room size and service responsiveness. Overall, it was a good stay with plenty of positives to outweigh the negatives.

Rooms
8.0
The room was beautifully decorated and comfortable, though I felt it could have been a bit more spacious. The bathroom was clean but on the smaller side, which I didn’t find bothersome. Some areas could have used a better vacuuming, but overall, I appreciated the elegant furnishings.
Service
8.0
The staff was incredibly helpful and attentive during my stay. They provided useful information on local attractions and were quick to assist with any requests. However, there were moments where I felt the service could have been more seamless, especially during check-in.
Location

The hotel's location in the Salamanca shopping district is fantastic, as it is away from the bustling tourist spots but still conveniently close to many attractions. I enjoyed easy access to upscale shopping and charming restaurants.

I had a mixed experience at Hotel Fenix Gran Melia. The location is fantastic, with easy access to shopping and dining, which I really appreciated. However, the service didn't live up to the five-star expectations, often feeling disorganized and unresponsive. My room was clean and elegant, but the staff interactions left much to be desired, especially one case where poor communication led to frustration.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were elegant and clean, although my initial room was smaller than expected. While I was later offered a larger room free of charge, it still felt a bit overcrowded.
Service
5.0
I found the service inconsistent. While some staff were helpful, I encountered moments of curtness and misinformation that really detracted from the experience.
Location

The hotel is situated in a prime area, perfect for exploring the upscale shopping and dining options that Madrid has to offer, making it a joy to walk around the city.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast at the hotel had a decent selection, but it could have benefited from more variety in hot options. The Red Level lounge was nice for snacks, but food quality was inconsistent.
Facilities
7.0
While I enjoyed some of the in-house facilities, including the lounge on the top floor, I felt that the service at the dining options left a lot to be desired.
